We are not interested in what the travel agent say about hotels, we want to find out the truth for ourselves so you our reader do not waste your hard earned money on a hotel that will not bring you the great holiday experience you deserve. I am afraid as you will read our Marina Hotel review you will see that this is not a great hotel and not a hotel we would recommend to our readers who are looking for a great hotel for their annual holiday in Benidorm.
The holiday brochure for the Marina Hotel in Benidorm says it has an unbeatable location, ok we agree with that but when it says it has a stylish impressive décor and the bedrooms are attractive then we are a bit confused. By looking at the brochure for the Marina Hotel and spending a week in the hotel we have either booked the wrong hotel or the people who have put the information in the holiday brochure were drunk at the time.
'Marina Hotel In Benidorm - Not The Best Hotel In The Costa Blanca'
The Marina Hotel is 200 metres from the beach which is great and it is a nice 15 minute stroll to the centre of Benidorm which is also nice and luckily enough for people staying at this hotel, there are many restaurants on your doorstep which believe me, you will need.
If you have children and are looking at booking the Marina Hotel then your children have their own pool section and they also have a playground as well as entertainment put on for them during the day. There is also a games room where your children can play pool, ping pong and other games to keep them occupied.
The bedrooms are outdated but there are spacious. The positive thing about the hotel is they all have a hair dryer, phone, mini bar, satellite television and a safe. If you stay in a room that is above the second floor then you will have a sea view and most of the rooms come with a balcony which is always a plus when it comes to hotel rooms.
The Marina Hotel has entertainment in the evenings which includes live music and shows and I have to admit even though I am not a fan of this hotel and would never stay at the Marina Hotel again, the entertainment was good and did put a number of other hotels to shame in Benidorm.
The food at the Marina Hotel is edible but we did find on a large number of occasions the food to be cold which was a big put off. Unfortunately the Marina Hotel has not really thought about the food it is serving never mind the quality of the food. When it comes to desserts there are not many to choose from and the selection of food on offer is very slim so if you are a fussy eater then you will have major problems at this hotel.
The hotel staff can be friendly at times, it all depends who is on duty but some staff can be rude as well. It costs nothing to smile but it seems some of the staff at the Marina hotel is underpaid as they have not been paid extra to put a smile on their faces.
While we were there we did hear of people saying about bags being taken, we did not experience this but we did speak to a number of guests who claim they had property stolen so there could be a huge security problem at the Marina hotel.
As you can see from our Marina Hotel review, this is not a hotel we are recommending to our readers who are visiting Benidorm. The Marina Hotel review has shown to us that the hotel management need to do a lot of work to sort the problems out and they could do with some refurbishment work on the bedrooms and bring them up to date.
