Soap Gossip. Coronation Street bad boy never does his own dirty work and in this episode we see him convince Tommy to set fire to the club so they can get the loan shark off their backs. Tina however cannot believe that they are going through with the plan and warns them that setting fire to the club is not only dangerous it can also result in them going to prison. Terry Duckworth is not worried, he wants to see the club go up in smoke so he can claim on the insurance and get the loan shark off their backs while at the same time making a profit.
Terry goes to the Rovers Return to make sure that everyone sees him there so he has an alibi for when the club goes up in smoke. He tells his son that he will leave the gas heater on in the bar and all he has to do is to switch it on and set fire to the curtains and they will get their insurance money.
Tina cannot believe that Terry has left Tommy to do his dirty work and rushes to the club to be him not to start the fire and find another way of paying off the loan shark. She tells him she cannot face losing the man that she loves, will Tommy listen to her or will he listen to his dad?
Meanwhile down on the quiet Coronation Street where Tram crashes, murder and crime is an everyday occurrence, Eileen and Paul get a visit from the police telling them they have been told the couple are hurting Lesley. Eileen and Paul are shocked and explain to them that Lesley has Alzheimer’s and gets confused. Will Eileen and Paul be arrested for assault?
