Neighbours living in Fox Street, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire were shocked when one of their neighbours’ houses was raided for drugs as Humberside police officers executed a drugs warrant.
Humberside Police raided the Scunthorpe property where they found £118,000 worth of cannabis. After police discovered over 200 cannabis plants inside the property, Vullnet Zavalina, 27, was arrested at the scene.
Vullnet Zavalina, of Fox Street, has been charged with the cultivation of Class B drugs after police officers also found growing equipment at the property.
Humberside police have confirmed that Vullnet Zavalina has been remanded into custody.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “A 27-year-old man has been charged following the discovery of approximately £118,500 worth of what is believed to be cannabis at a property in Scunthorpe on Tuesday 6 June.
“Officers carried out a drugs warrant on Fox Street and whilst inside the address, it is reported a suspected cannabis grow of over 200 plants was discovered, along with growing equipment, and a man was arrested at the scene.
“Vullnet Zavalina, of Fox Street, Scunthorpe has been charged with cultivation of Class B drugs.”
Humberside Police have confirmed that Vullnet Zavalina will appear at Grimsby Magistrates Court (Wednesday 7 June).
