Popular Mayor of Grantham Steps Down From His Duties

  • Mayor of Grantham to take break from duties due to health

One of Grantham’s most popular Mayors has sadly decided to stand down from his duties.

Councillor Dean Ward who officially became Mayor of Grantham in September last year has said he has been forced to step back from his duties due to ill health.

The Mayor of Grantham is taking a break from his duties for a couple of months. It is hoped he will resume his role at the end of November this year.

The popular councillor suffered a stroke earlier this year.

Since the news was announced, he has received full support from his colleagues on all sides, with many wishing him a speedy recovery.
