A man has been jailed for two years by Lincoln Crown Court after Lincolnshire Police found £100,000 worth of Cannabis plants at his property.

Gkeralt Gkisti, 25, of Park Road, Boston, pleaded guilty of being concerned in the production of cannabis and unlawfully abstracting electricity.

Lincoln Crown Court heard that police raided a property on Park Road in Boston, after they were informed by the electricity company that large amounts of electricity were being used.

Police attended the property on August 27, 2021, and found there were three rooms that had been converted into cannabis farms.

Gkeralt Gkisti who was inside the property attempted to escape but was arrested by officers.

Tom Welshman, prosecuting, told the Lincoln Crown Court that police found fans, ducts and lighting had been installed in the property to make a cannabis farm. He also told the court that police officers found the electricity meter had been bypassed.

According to Lincolnshire Police a total of 128 cannabis plants were found at the property. The street value of the cannabis could fetch more than £107,000.

Gkeralt Gkisti, 25, who holds a Greek passport was jailed for two years and was told by Lincoln Crown Court that he could face deportation when he is released.

Judge Catarina Sjolin Knight told him, “This was a relatively sophisticated set-up. You were clearly performing an operational role. You were in charge of this grow and could come and go as you pleased.”
