Grantham Hospital consultation event set for next week
The feelings regarding Grantham Hospital future are running high. Those that depend on the hospital are concerned about the planned changes.
Local people are not happy about the prospect of Grantham Hospital losing it’s A&E and having it replaced with an Urgent Treatment Centre like Skegness Hospital.
NHS Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group has launched a 12-week public consultation process. The first consultation is set to take place next week in the town centre.
Bosses believe that a 24/7 Urgent Treatment Centre would better suit the needs of patients than an A&E which has restricted hours.
Health chiefs have announced that the first consultation event will take place in the Jubilee Church Life Centre at 5 London Road on Thursday October 14 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
Anyone wishing to attend the event must pre-book their place.
Those opposing the plans have launched a protest which will take place on St Peter’s Hill at the same time as the consultation event.
