  • Shannon Disney bit police officer after night out in Skegness

A woman who bit a police office after a night out in Skegness has admitted assaulting the police officer at Boston Magistrates Court.

Police were called to Roman Bank, Skegness, just before 2am on September 13th, where they found Shannon Disney, 31, of Station Road, Gedney Hill wondering in the middle of the road.

Shannon Disney was advised to stay on the footpath, but she became abusive and aggressive and ignore their requests and went back on the road. She told the officers that she was going to walk to her home in Leicester.

The Lincolnshire police officers put Disney into their car and offered to take her to her mother’s house in Skegness. However, no one answered at the address and the police were forced to take Shannon to the police station.

Shannon Disney refused to get out of the car at the police station, and after one of the police officers tried to help her out of the car, she responded by biting him on the forearm. This assault left a visible bite mark on the officer’s forearm.

Boston Magistrates court was told that Shannon could not remember the incident but did apologize the following morning when she was sober.

Shannon Disney was fined £180 and ordered to pay £100 compensation to the police officer and £34 in court charges.
