Man Who Failed To Stop For Police Dies In Collision Near Skegness

  • Lincolnshire Police have said that a man who failed to stop for police has died in collision with tree after car leaves A52 near Skegness

 

A man who was driving a red VW Scirocco travelling along the A52 towards Boston just after 11.10pm failed to stop for police.

The man who was driving the car sadly died after his car left the road at Croft Bank near Skegness and hit a tree.

Lincolnshire Police said that at 11.15pm police officers found the vehicle which had collided with the tree. Sadly, the driver who has not been named but is in his 20s died at the scene. There were no other people in the car.

A full investigation is currently taking place to find out the circumstances of the collision.

A police spokesman said: “The matter has been automatically referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, who have taken primacy for the investigation of this incident.”
