When news broke that a man had attempted to Kidnap Holly Willougby and have her killed by an American hitman, it sent shockwaves through the showbiz world. Now, the man accused of the Holly Willoughby kidnap plot has pleaded not guilty.

Gavin Plumb, 36, of Potters Field who was accused of plotting to kidnap and murder Holly Willoughby has appeared in a pre-trial and plea hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court today. He pleaded not guilty to the charges of soliciting to commit murder and incitement to kidnap.

Plumb, a shopping centre security guard, allegedly plotted to kidnap and murder the beloved TV star between October 2 and October 5. After his plea, a court date was set for June 24 next year.

Gavin Plumb’s alleged plot to kidnap and murder Holly Willoughby came to light when police alerted the show’s bosses at This Morning just moments before she was due to go on air.
