Scarborough Avenue evacuated and emergency services in attendance after a device found
A Skegness street has been evacuated and a 200m cordon has been put in place after a device was found. Emergency services including Police, Lincs Fire and Rescue, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) are in attendance.
Police are working with the EOD to assess what the device is and to make it safe. Detective Sergeant Gemma Skipworth has said there is no wider risk to the public at this time.
Lincolnshire Police are asking for people to avoid the area and have thanked residence of Scarborough Avenue and the local area for their patience.
Although residents have returned to their properties, the cordon will remain in place while the EOD assess the device and make it safe.
