Tattu, Spinningfields

A gorgeous wall of roses welcomes the guests downstairs, whereas a huge pink blossom cherry tree adorns the upstairs floor. The menu consists of a modern take on Chinese cuisine, and the drinks menu consists of beer, sake and creative cocktails.
Red Chilli, Chinatown
Red Chilli is a proud owner of two restaurants. One is on Oxford Road, but the star of the show is on Portland Street. The order of the day here comprise Beijing specialities along with Fiery Szechuan dishes. You will be tempted to try their vast array of dishes but be warned, if they say something is spicy, brace yourself for a chillie rush.
Sweet Mandarin, Northern Quarter
In 2004, Sweet Mandarin appeared on Gordon Ramsay’s F word. After beating 10,000 other establishments, it won the title of the best local Chinese restaurant in the nation. The secret to their success is the recipes that are passed onto the owners by their talented grandmother. These include clay pot chicken and beef curry, which you won’t be able to stop your hands on.
