Italian Airport Workers Strike Forces Some Airlines To Cancel Flights

Italian trade unions have today announced industrial action is set to take place this Friday (19th January). The Italian Airport Strike will result in flights being cancelled and thousands of holidaymakers unable to fly to Italy or return home from their holiday.

Flybe has already announced they have cancelled six flights which are:

  • BE7111 Birmingham to Malpensa
  • BE7112 Malpensa to Birmingham
  • BE7351 Manchester to Malpensa
  • BE7352 Malpensa to Manchester
  • BE4543 Cardiff to Malpensa
  • BE4544 Malpensa to Cardiff

EasyJet has warned due to the Italian Airport Strike that there could be some flights cancelled while other flights will be delayed. To find out more about cancelled flights, please visit the EasyJet site.

The Italian Airport strike will affect flights to and from Italian airports, which includes Pisa, Rome, Bologna, Verona, Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate.

For people flying to or from Italy on Friday 19th January, it is important to check with your airline to see if your flight has been cancelled or if any delays will be taking place.
