Easyjet flight makes an emergency landing with police surrounding the plane at UK airport
An Easyjet flight from Palma de Mallorce which is popular with holidaymakers going on a TUI cruise has made an emergency landing.
The flight landed at Liverpool Airport where it was greeted by emergency services included fire engines and police
According to reports the emergency landing was due to a technical issue. But there has been no explanation why police attended.

A spokesperson for the airline said this afternoon: “EasyJet can confirm that flight EZY3360 from Palma to Liverpool on 8 August was met by emergency services on arrival at Liverpool as a precaution only, due to a technical issue. The captain performed a routine landing in line with procedures and passengers disembarked normally.
“The safety of its passengers and crew is easyJet’s highest priority and easyJet operates its fleet of aircraft in strict compliance with all manufacturers’ guidelines.” John Lennon Airport also confirmed the flight landed safely.
An airport spokesperson said: “A technical issue was reported by the pilot of flight EZY3360 from Palma to Liverpool earlier today ahead of their arrival in to Liverpool and as per normal procedures in such situations, our emergency services were in attendance on standby, however the flight landed safely and it has been business as usual here.”
