The well-known brand is set to open 25 new stores by the end of 2022
Poundland which has 800 stores including in Skegness, Grimsby, Sheffield, Boston, Lincoln, and Manchester, has announced they are expanding their empire.
The brand is set to open or relocate 25 stores by the end of the year with the first set of new shop openings to take place between August and September creating 150 full and part-time jobs.
As of yet Poundland has not revealed all of the locations of their new stores, but they have announced seven of them. They include:
Sutton Coldfield (Poundland Local)
Canterbury, Marshwood Close Retail Park
Sheffield, Meadowhall Retail Park
Milton Keynes, Westcroft Retail Park (relocation)
Aberdeen, Trinity Shopping Centre (relocation)
Inverness, Telford Street Retail Park
Broadstairs High Street
Further news from Poundland is the announcement that they are cutting the price of 1,000 items. They include DIY, gardening, kitchenware, homeware and stationery.
Tim Bettley, commercial director at Poundland, said: “We’re acutely aware how important value-for-money is right now for our customers – and that’s why whether it’s across grocery, clothing or homewares, we’re doubling down on our promise of amazing value.”
While big brand names have increased their prices, Poundland have promised to cut theirs to help their customers with the rising cost of living
