Cleethorpes and North-East Lincolnshire braced for ‘torrential Tuesday’ as weather warning issued
Summer has ended, for Tuesday at least. The Met Office has issued a Yellow weather warning for Cleethorpes and North East Lincolnshire. They have forecast 24 hours of heavy rain to hit our area on Tuesday.
According to The Met Office, rain will hit Cleethorpes and surrounding areas from 7am Tuesday until Wednesday morning. So, if you are planning to go out, grab your umbrella and wrap up warm.
A Met Office spokesman said: “There is a chance that homes, and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
“Bus and train services will also be probably affected with journey times taking longer and the chance of cancellations.
Drivers have been warned to be extra careful while travelling. Essential journeys only are also being recommended.
The promise of great summer weather seems to be just like Boris Johnson promises, full of air. Although this year we have had some nice days, and a heat wave, it has not been the best summer for North-East Lincolnshire.
