RNLI Cleethorpes Rescue Two Paddleboarders

  • Two Paddleboarders had to be rescued by RNLI Cleethorpes after being blown into shipping lanes

 

The brave team of RNLI Cleethorpes launched into action on Sunday after two Paddleboarders were blown into the shipping lanes.

The RNLI were alerted after a member of the public spotted the two paddleboarders in trouble.

Thanks to the quick thinking volunteer team who quickly launched a rescue mission, the paid were saved from potential disaster.

RNLI Cleethorpes said: “Our volunteers were already at the station preparing for training so launched within minutes and quickly brought them back to safety.

“As the weather changes, short days, cold water and changeable conditions are on the menu so please put some thought into checking everything before heading out.

“Winter wear and all the relevant kit is a must now and ensure you have a means of calling for help.

“Stay safe, enjoy but know your limits – if you get into trouble call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.”
