With news that 9/10 people from Greater Lincolnshire calling for Boris Johnson to resign over the shocking party allegations, a key figure in the Conservative movement has called for Boris Johnson to go.
Philip Sagar, vice president of the Grantham and Stamford Conservative Association has come forward and said it is time that Boris Johnson resigned.
The vice president of the Grantham and Stamford Conservative Association appeared on BBC News (January 16) and said how disappointed he was.
While most Lincolnshire Conservative MPs are backing Boris Johnson, one of the worst Prime Ministers the country has ever seen, Philip Sagar said the people he has spoken to in Grantham feel disappointed.
He told BBC’s Joanna Gosling: “The people I’ve spoken to especially down here in Stamford and other colleagues I’ve spoken to in the past few weeks are disappointed with the continual drip drip of almost daily revelations that are becoming a distraction from the important job of running the country.
“It seems people are upset because it’s ‘do as I say not as I do’.”
Philip Sugar agreed with the people of Greater Lincolnshire that Boris Johnson has let them down and he should resign straight away after the consent denial of the Downing Street parties. Even after the Prime Minister apologized, Philip Sugar has said it is time to go.
In a recent article Boris Johnson Should Resign According To Lincolnshire Voters, we found that 9/10 Greater Lincolnshire voters wanted the Prime Minister to resign. We also found 7/10 people would not be voting for their Conservative MP at the next General Election.
We ran another poll yesterday to see how people felt about their Lincolnshire Conservative after none of them have come forward to call for Boris Johnson to resign. 8/10 said they have no faith in their local Conservative MP and will not vote for them at the next General Election.
Boris has not just done damage to his own reputation with the party allegations, but he has also done damage to his party. If the people of Skegness, Lincoln, Boston, Grimsby, and Grantham continue to have no faith in their MPs then Lincolnshire may not have any Conservative MPs at the next Election.
Will Boris Johnson resign, that is the big question people are waiting to find out?
