Half Of Covid Cases In North East Lincolnshire Are School Children

  • School pupils make up half of new Covid cases in North East Lincolnshire

 

According to official reports, COVID cases in school children make up for half of the COVID cases in North East Lincolnshire.

The next highest age group for COVID cases in North East Lincolnshire are people aged between 41 to 60.

Between October 11th and 25th, there were 1107 new COVID cases in North East Lincolnshire. 481 of those new cases were under 20s with most of them being school children.

200 of the new COVID cases for the area were 21- to 40-year-olds, and 41 to 60-year-olds accounted for nearly 300 new cases.

New cases among 61- to 80-year-old accounted for 117 new COVID cases while those over 80 accounted for just 22 cases.

Sadly, there have been four more deaths up until the 22nd October.

Those in North East Lincolnshire including Grimsby are being advised to get their vaccination.

It is hoped that the booster jabs and the school children vaccinations will help to lower the COVID infection rate in North East Lincolnshire
