A 53-Year-Old Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Grievous Bodily Harm Has Been Released On Conditional Bail
Humberside Police have said a man who was arrested after a man died two days after being stabbed has now been released on Bail. The police are currently continuing with their investigation.
On November 3rd at around 3.50, a man who was stabbed two days previous was found dead. A 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm.
Humberside Police have now confirmed that the man who was arrested has now been released on conditional bail while they carry on with their investigation.
The death is no longer being treated as unexplained and was a “medical episode”, police said today.
Humberside Police have made “extensive lines of enquiry” and have said they do not believe the death is suspicious.
In a statement today, Humberside Police said: “Officers were called to a property on East Street in Grimsby following reports of a concern for a man’s safety on Friday 3 November.
“Upon arrival, officers discovered that a man is believed to have had a medical episode and had died.”
Detective Inspector Darren Critten said: “As a result of extensive lines of enquiry, we can confirm that the man’s death is no longer being treated as unexplained and is not thought to be suspicious.
“I would like to thank the public for their assistance throughout our investigation.”
The force added: “A 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with an incident on Wednesday November 1. He has since been released on conditional bail whilst our enquiries continue.
Humberside Police are asking for anyone with information to come forward and contact them on 101, quoting log 303 of 3 November.”
