The city’s heart is the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with winding streets lined with medieval buildings. The most famous of these is the magnificent Edinburgh Castle. One of my favourite places to visit in Scotland is Edinburgh. There is something magical about this place.

Edinburgh is renowned for its world-class festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe, one of the world’s leading arts festivals. The city also hosts the Edinburgh International Book Festival and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

 

1.3 Winter Wonderland

Visiting Edinburgh in winter is a magical experience. The city transforms into a winter wonderland with festive light displays and numerous events to keep visitors entertained.
