Holidaymakers Are Turning Their Backs On Egypt Holidays

With the troubles in Egypt, holidaymakers have been cancelling their holidays to Egypt for 2013 since In2town lifestyle News ran a story warning holidaymakers to speak to their travel agent about changing their holiday destination.

Even though Egypt has become a trouble spot, high street travel agents such as Thomson, Thomas Cook and First Choice have continued to sell holidays to Egypt and the popular Egypt Red Sea resort. This has angered travel reporters who feel the holiday companies should be putting all sales to Egypt on hold.

Reports have emerged that holidaymakers have cancelled their holidays to Egypt for 2014 and bookings have gone down like a lead balloon, these claims have been denied by Thomson and Thomas Cook who claim there is not a problem with sales to Egypt’s Red Sea resorts.

A source at Thomas Cook has told In2town News, “Sales have gone right down for the Red Sea resorts, holidaymakers who were going there each year have now altered their plans because of the troubles, we have also seen a large number of cancelled bookings as well as holidaymakers asking for their holidays for this year to be changed to another destination.”

High street travel agents are trying to ignore the problem in Egypt and are continuing to sell holidays to the troubled country even though other countries such as Germany have advised to only visit Egypt if it is essential.

It seems in the UK the high street travel agents are more interested in money than the enjoyment of their holidaymakers.
