The number of COVID cases in Greater Lincolnshire continue to drop
There is some good news and some bad news for Lincolnshire COVID pandemic. The rate of infections in Lincoln has increased while the overall cases in Greater Lincolnshire continues to fall.
On Monday, the number of new COVD cases dropped by 22% compared to last Monday. That means yesterday there were 503 news COVID cases in Greater Lincolnshire compared to 646 cases last Monday.
Sadly, Government figures have shown that one further death was reported yesterday, while the NHS has reported two deaths at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust. There were also three deaths reported by Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust.
The latest COVID stats for Lincolnshire are:
503 new cases of coronavirus
358 in Lincolnshire
71 in North East Lincolnshire
74 in North Lincolnshire
According to official figures, the majority of Greater Lincolnshire is reporting the number of COVID cases are dropping. This is a positive sign.
A spokesman for United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust confirmed that there are 77 COVID-positive patients in the county’s hospitals – up from 68 this time last week.

We reported yesterday how people are complaining at the lack of COVID vaccination centres being rolled out, and the long delays in getting their vaccine.
Many believe if more centres were made available then the number of new COVID cases would continue to drop even further.
