A New Fish And Chip Shop Could Be Coming To Lincoln High Street

  • A planning application has been put forward to turn a Lincoln charity shop into a fish and chip shop

A former charity shop at 137 High Street, Lincoln could be turned into a fish and chip shop if Lincoln County Council approve the plans.

The Lincoln High Street already has a number of takeaways, and a new fish and chip shop would be a welcomed addition according to the man behind the plans.

Yusuf Ibrayam who has submitted plans to Lincoln City Council to convert the former charity shop believes a new fish and chip shop would be a welcome addition to the area.

The application has been submitted on behalf of Mr Ibrayam by MDK Architects Ltd.

Part of the design and access statement submitted as part of the application, reads: “The proposal sees the introduction of necessary equipment and an adjoining open rear prep area.

“A disabled access WC is also proposed.”

According to the plans, there will be no visual changes made to the front of the property. However, a ventilation duct will be installed at the back of the property.

No decision has been made, but many local residents believe it would be a good idea instead of having an empty building.
