Three people arrested after in Lincoln stop and search finds knives in car
Three people are currently in custody after armed police stopped a vehicle in Lincoln and found knives and an imitation firearm.
Lincolnshire Police were alerted on Wednesday that a vehicle which was entering Lincoln city centre had weapons on board.
Police tracked down the vehicle and did and controlled stop and search where they found the weapons inside the vehicle.
Armed police who were joined by the dog unit immediately arrested three people.
Lincolnshire Police confirmed the stop and search and said the weapons found inside the vehicle were sharp, long blades, and also included an imitation firearm.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “Our community do not want these weapons on our streets and neither do we, it’s very naughty. Great teamwork between different departments keeping our city safe.”
