Police Arrest Driver In Lincoln For Drug Driving

  • Lincolnshire Police have arrested and charged a man for drug driving

 

Police spotted a car with no lights on in Lincoln and stopped him. After speaking to the driver, they believed he was driving under the influence.

The driver was questioned about his driving and was later arrested on suspicion of drug driving after he failed a drug-wipe.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said the man was stopped on Canwick Road near Pelham Bridge, Lincoln early on Sunday morning.

After failing the drug-wipe the driver admitted to the officers that he had taken cannabis whilst driving.

The driver was taken to the police station and charged. He is due to appear in court at a later date.
