Ex-Louth Police special constable faces misconduct hearing

  • A former Lincolnshire Special Constable faces misconduct hearing on November 30.

An Ex-Special Police Constable for Lincolnshire Police is to face a misconduct hearing later this month over allegations of not being honest with neighbouring Humberside Police.

Maisy Whittington, the former special constable who was based at Louth Police Station allegedly breached the following standards of professional behaviour:

    Honesty and Integrity

    Discreditable Conduct

According to the investigation, Maisy Whittington is facing allegations that on July 9, 2020, she responded to a Notice of Intended Prosecution sent by Humberside Police to say she was the driver of a vehicle involved in a speeding offence.

Between July 9, 2020, and July 31, 2020, Maisy Whittington became aware she was not driving the vehicle but failed to tell Humberside Police that she was not the driver of the vehicle when the offence was committed.

If the allegations are found to be true, then it amounts to gross misconduct.

The hearing will be held at Lincolnshire Police Headquarters on November 30.
