The actress who was once married to Martin Freeman took to social media this morning to share an image of a pair of shoes and told fans it was not an easy decision to leave Strictly Come Dancing.
Amanda revealed she left the show for personal reasons and thanked the production team and “everyone on Strictly” in her statement, but fans quickly pointed out that she did not mention her professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice by name.
Amanda, 49, released a statement on Instagram where she said, “It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly. I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons I am unable to continue.”
“It was an absolute joy working with my fellow contestants, they are a beautiful, hardworking and talented group of people who I love and who I will miss seeing every Friday and Saturday and competing alongside.”
