Boris Johnson Could Join I’m A Celebrity
Boris John could join ITV’s I’m A Celebrity. The former Prime Minister is in talks to join the show after the success of Matt Hancock’s stint
ITV is hoping to pull off a huge coup by getting former Prime Minister Boris Johnson to appear on this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
Love him or hate him, Boris Johnson is still highly regarded as a successful Prime Minister with millions of people wishing he would return to politics and take over from Rishi Sunak.
After Matt Hancock’s stint in the Australian jungle last year where he managed to get the public on his side, ITV is hoping to do the same thing with Boris Johnson.
Boris Johnson has been approached by ITV and according to sources he is seriously considering the offer. If he does accept the offer, then it would be ITV’s I’m A Celebrity biggest signing since the show began.
Although Boris Johnson is considering the offer, many media experts believe he will turn it down due to the amount of money he is raking in from his after-dinner speeches.
Matt Hancock was paid £400,000 for his I’m A Celebrity stint last year, but ITV is willing to break the bank to get Boris Johnson to put pen to paper.
One source said: “He’s not looking likely. The truth is he doesn’t need the cash as much as he did before, thanks to his income from speeches, and, of course, he still thinks he’s going to stage some sort of political comeback at some stage.”
ITV who believe viewing figures will go through the roof if Boris Johnson joins I’m A Celebrity are willing to do anything they can to convince him to join the show. That includes according to a source on the show to cave into any demands he may have.
This would not be the first time a Johnson has appeared on I’m A Celebrity. Boris Johnson’s dad Stanley Johnson appeared on the show with Georgia Toffolo and Jennie McAlpine in 2017.
