With the reported fall out between Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, viewers have said they have had enough and want the once golden couple to leave This Morning.
ITV is facing its biggest crisis in recent years with Phillip Schofield becoming one of the most hated men on TV. Celebrities, experts, and fellow presenters have come out and shared their experiences with Phillip Schofield with many viewers believing the man they see every morning is not the real Phillip Schofield.
For the past couple of weeks Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby fall out has been reported daily leaving viewers baffled why ITV bosses have failed to action. Viewers have got so bored with the friction on the show that nearly 200,000 of them have switched off.
Many viewers believe the fall out between Holly Willoughby And Phillip Schofield has damaged the This Morning brand and many insiders at ITV agree. While both presenters have their contracts up for renewal in the summer, This Morning viewers are pleading with ITV to make serious changes.
It has been reported that Phillip Schofield could be facing the chop, but some insiders believe that is not enough to save the show and Holly Willoughby must follow him out of the door. Although many insiders at ITV believe that Phillip Schofield will be gone once his contract comes up for renewal, it is not known if ITV will be brave enough to get rid of Holly Willoughby.
Eamonn Holmes who has claimed the friendship between Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield is “broken” has said This Morning no longer needs them. He has publicly said that it does not matter who presents the show and believes if both Holly Willoughby And Phillip Schofield leave it will not damage viewing figures.
Phillip Schofield is quickly losing support. Celebrity Big Brother’s Kim Woodburn brands Phillip Schofield ‘nasty’ and demands ITV sack the star. Relationship expert Louise Van Der Velde appeared on GB News last night and claimed that Schofield was ‘aggressive, arrogant and smarmy’ in her years being interviewed on the ITV show. GB News Dan Wootan has made it clear that he is not a fan of Phillip Schofield. With so many celebrities turning against Phillip, and viewers turning off, ITV need to take action.
We asked 2,000 readers in Boston, Manchester, Lincoln, Skegness, Hull, Grimsby, Liverpool, and Glasgow if they thought ITV should sack Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. 84% said they wanted to see Phillip sacked while 46% wanted Holly to take a back seat. When asked who should replace Phillip if ITV does sack him, 71% said they wanted to see Alison Hammond take over.
One thing is for sure, if ITV don’t take action and listen to the viewers, then This Morning could quickly become a big embarrassment and the lack of action could cost ITV.
