Russell Brand Questioned By Police Over ‘Non-Recent’ Sexual Allegations

Comedian Russell Brand has been questioned by officers from the Metropolitan Police earlier this week over alleged historic sex offences. Russell Brand denies all the claims

Russell Brand has once again been questioned by the Met Police. The comedian who has denied all the allegations against him has seen his reputation drop like a lead balloon.

The comic attended a police station in south London on Thursday, where he was interviewed under caution. These allegations come after Brand has previously denied accusations of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse at the height of his fame.

The Metropolitan Police, responsible for investigating the allegations against Russell Brand, confirmed that a man in his forties attended a police station in South London on November 16, 2023.

They said: “A man in his 40s attended a police station in South London on Thursday 16 November 2023. He was interviewed under caution by detectives in relation to three non-recent sexual offences. Enquiries continue.”

The once popular comedian and actor has faced numerous controversies throughout his career. However, the latest allegations of historic sex offences have brought him under scrutiny once again.

The claims emerged after Channel 4’s Dispatches, The Times, and The Sunday Times published articles on September 16th and 17th, detailing incidents alleged to have taken place between 2006 and 2013.

Four women came forward with claims against Russell Brand, accusing him of sexual offenses during the peak of his fame. These allegations include rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse.

In a previous statement addressing the allegations, he expressed his refutation of the “very, very serious criminal allegations.”

Russell Brand said: “What I seriously refute are these very, very serious criminal allegations. Also, it’s worth mentioning that there are witnesses whose evidence directly contradicts the narrative that these two mainstream media outlets are trying to construct, apparently, in what seems to me to be a coordinated attack.”

“Now, I don’t wanna get into this any further because of the serious nature of the allegations, but I feel like I’m being attacked and plainly they’re working very closely together. We are obviously going to look into this matter ’cause it’s very, very serious.”

At the moment no charges have been brought against Russell Brand, but some insiders believe that could soon change.
