A Man Has Tragically Died In A House Fire In Scunthorpe

Tragic News. A man has sadly died in a house fire in Scunthorpe on Wednesday, 8 November.

 

Police were called to a property in Scunthorpe on 8, November at 12.50pm where they discovered a man inside the property on Belmont Street in Ashby who was unconscious.

The man was given medical treatment by emergency services at the scene but sadly later died. His family have been informed.

Humberside Police who are working alongside Humberside Fire and Rescue to determine the causes of death have said they are not treating it as suspicious.

Humberside Police said: “Emergency services attended a property on Belmont Street in Scunthorpe yesterday (Wednesday 8 November) following reports of a fire at 12.50pm. On entering the property, a man was found unconscious inside the address.

“He was conveyed from the property to be given medical assistance however was pronounced deceased at the scene. His family have been informed and are receiving support from officers.

“Officers are working with the Fire Service, who will look to establish the cause of the fire, however at this time, there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death.”
