Skegness High Wire To Bring In New Tourists

Skegness, which has seen a great deal of investment in recent years has another reason to celebrate with news of a new high wire adventure attraction.

The new high wire attraction will be suspended 70 feet in the air and will include 44 obstacles of different shapes and sizes. The new attraction dubbed ‘Altitude44’ is expected to attract new tourism to the area.

The owners of the high wire attraction Magna Vitae submitted their application in July 2018 and have now been granted planning permission. The work is expected to be completed ready for the summer season.

Magna Vitae who want to increase tourism in Skegness has said the new attraction will be open all year round, which means a much-needed boost to visiting numbers out of season.

Councillor Steve Kirk, the portfolio holder for the coastal economy at East Lindsey District Council, said: “This will provide a brilliant new attraction in Skegness and, I’m sure, will be a unique experience for those who tackle it.”

The high wire will be located next to a café and outdoor swimming pool is not for the faint hearted or those that have a fear of heights.

With the new £8million Premier Inn Hotel opening in April, and with new planned investment in the area, Skegness has become a thriving seaside resort.
