It was hoped after a recent meeting that the Spanish airport strikes would be put on hold and would not go ahead. However, things have now changed and although no strike action occurred on the planned 15th, and 17th September, strikes could still happen.
Both parties were confident that an agreement would be put together that would be suitable for both parties, but a recent meeting that took place did not go as well as expected. As a result, unions could still call their members out which would cause chaos around the countries airports.
Spanish Airport Strikes Dates Have Been Revealed
CC.OO., UGT, and USE unions have agreed to suspend strike action for the whole of September, but misery could occur in October, November, and December.
The planned Spanish Air Strike dates are:
- October: 1, 6, 11, 15, 27, 30, and 31.
- November: 3 and 5.
- December: 1,4,5,7, 8, 10, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30.
The Spanish Airport Strikes could result in hundreds of flights being cancelled with tens of thousands of passengers facing serious delays.

José Luis Zoreda of Spain’s tourism association Exceltur said tourists would face atrocious scenes if an agreement is not reached.
The threat of Spanish airstrikes has caused a great deal of distress for UK holidaymakers who are not sure if their holiday will be affected. According to reports, tens of thousands of people who were planning to go away in October, November and December have put their plans on hold while the negotiations take place.
